EUP member Nathalie Fuentes and board member Dr. Patricia Silveyra served as judges for science projects presented by local students of Latino heritage. The goal of this program is to encourage more Latino students to participate in science fairs, since there are potential awards to be won.
This year, EUP offered two awards, one in the junior category and one in the senior category. The awardees received a certificate and a book, and were honored at the CASEF ceremony on March 8th, 2018.
The 2018 EUP awardees are:
(8th grade, St Joan of Arc school)
Science project: "Soil Substitutes: Recycling the Earth"
