Caryneri Sanchez is a Latina who embraces her heritage, her mother is from Panama and her father is from Puerto Rico. She thanks her parents for continuing to speak to her in Spanish because being bilingual has benefited her in endless ways. Caryneri is currently a student at Millersville University majoring in Social Work with a minor in International Studies. She will be graduating in May 2016 with her Bachelor's degree and will continue on to get her master's in Social Work and Emergency Management at Millersville University. Her long term goal is to work with the immigrant and refugee population or work for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
Jessica Miller is a Penn State student with a double major, Communications and Political Science and with two minors: Spanish and Philosophy. Jessica is the public relations manager of the Penn State business management club as well as a global ambassador. Jessica wants to make positive changes in the world to help protect and educate people about environmental sustainability and issues related to transparency in corporate business practice. She feels that getting into the legal field will be an exciting challenge for her.
Deysy Salgado was born in Fresno, CA and raised in Mexico for five years before coming to live in Hanover, PA.
She is a Junior at E-town College, pursuing her dream of becoming an Early Childhood teacher and getting an M.Ed in Special Education. She is involved in the Residence Life office; she is a resident assistant, planning programs and helping first year students feel welcome. Deysy is also involved in the CEC club and Diversity team. For fun, she enjoys painting and working with children.
